IT’S HERE!!! Today is the release day of my solo album “Tulpa”! It’s a big milestone in my career and I am so happy about all the positive feedback of the last couple of weeks!
This is a good moment to say “thank you”. I want to thanks all the unbelievably talented musicians who play on my album and for how they added their own character to the music. Thanks to Ibanez Germany and Daniel Gäthke for their huge support. They shot my music video for “Our Soul Sets Sail” and offered a bass for a contest (that is running out today!). Thans to my other endorsement partners Engl, Richter Straps, Sennheiser, Steinberg, Ernie Ball and Musik Meyer. A big shout out to Hannes who made the production sound so massive! Thank you to AOP records who have put a lot of work and effort into this record and believed in me! Thank you Tim Ziegler! And thanks to everyone at my discord server. It grew to such a great and positive community. I enjoy it a lot!
And the biggest thank you goes out to you! Everyone who supports me with in any way! Sharing and commenting my posts and songs, order my album or something else at me online shop. It means so much!
If you want to have a physical copy of the album, you can still order at my online shop.
Here it is 2 days early on Youtube already! The beast that I have worked on for such a long time! Thanks to AOP Records for their trust in me and for all the incredible musicians that play with me on this album.
I sat down to watch as many YouTube covers of my bands and ex-bands on Youtube as I could find. They are so different and entertaining!
It’s humbling and inspiring at the same time.
Check out the fan cover playlist at Youtube.
In this new single “Sword Swallower” you can hear a very special guest: V. Santura.
Not only is he the guitarist of Triptykon and Ex-Celtic Frost, he is also a fantastic and motivating producer that I have worked with the most. Here’s a list of albums that we have worked on together:
Noneuclid – Metatheosis
Alkaloid – The Malkuth Grimoire
Hannes Grossmann – The Radial Covenant
Obscura – Illegimitation
Obscura – Akróasis
Obscura – Diluvium
Obsidious – Iconic
In May I had the honor to play the Farewell Tour of his band Dark Fortress. We had a great time and I was happy to share the stage again with this humble but brilliant guy.
If you are want to be over-particular (like a German typically is), we are still band mates. We both played in Noneuclid – a band that is inactive since over 10 years but we have never officially split.
Bass Tabs are available in my web shop!
Listen to the album premiere at nocleansinging.com, the streaming service of your choice or buy the physical record in a store close by.
You might be curious about the song title’s unusual spelling. The album centers around a book detailing the creation of 10 distinct humanoid beings. The servant of the Lord who was responsible for their creation unintentionally misspelled the name of the seraph, which, in German, roughly translates to “all monkey.” I was drawn to this quirky tidbit in the title due to the song’s uplifting essence and I almost picked this one as the first single.
Here’s a fact for the musician nerds: The melody that kicks in at 0:12 repeats after the first chorus (1:08), but this time bass and guitars share the melody and take turns a couple of times.
Here is “Lunar Assailant”, the next single from my upcoming solo album “Tulpa”! The music video is a journey through my musical career – from the very start with my first bands to more recent material of Obsidious. 🤘
Come with me behind the scenes as I show exclusive personal recordings including impressions from various tour locations and shows.
The song is the final track of the album and includes an epic 2 minute guitar solo of Gorod guitarist Nicolas Alberny!
