Obscura have entered the studio

Technical death metal masters OBSCURA have entered the studio to record their yet-to-be titled fifth full-length album. The record is the final of a running 4 album concept cycle that began with Cosmogenesis in 2009. The band is recording the album with longtime producer V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence) at Woodshed Studios, Landshut, Germany. A Summer 2018 release is expected via Relapse.

Linus Klausenitzer about the next Obscura album (jump to 1:00):

Guitar Summit

On September 9th and 10th Linus Klausenitzer will perform at Guitar Summit 2017, Mannheim Germany.
Representing Ibanez Germany and D’Addario Germany, Linus will perform selected Obscura songs, speak about extended range basses and his approach to develop bass lines for advanced songwriting. Other artists attending guitar summit: Guthrie Govan, Ola Englund, Victor Smolski and many more.

MusicBiz Madness conference

Linus Klausenitzer will present his concept as a “digital musician” at the MusicBiz Madness conference in Frankfurt, Germany (22.10.2017).

Street Smarts statt Klassenzimmerwissen…
