I just turned 39 years old. When I look back on my career so far, there were a couple of important milestones. One standout was my nearly decade-long tenure as the bass player for Obscura, a band I dedicated a lot of time to. Touring with them taught me the value of teamwork amidst the inevitable stress. Within Obscura, I formed close bonds with two lineups – one of them with Hannes Grossmann and Christian Münzner. When that lineup disbanded, our bond led us to establish ‘Alkaloid.’

Later in Obscura I composed and toured a lot of years with Rafael Trujillo and Sebastian Lanser. When we all decided to part ways with the band, it felt amiss to abandon our chemistry, prompting the birth of ‘Obsidious.’

Though both bands share similar origins, they’ve cultivated distinct musical identities that I’m immensely proud of.

Now, I’m thrilled to announce that both bands will perform together this year, with three shows scheduled in Germany/Austria in December. It’s a formidable challenge, given the complexity of both bands’ music, but I enjoy challenges.

Live shows with both of my bands

2024 will be a year filled with different live performances! Another highlight for me: Alkaloid will play with classical musicians in the context of a Bach festival.

I hope you out there!
