Release of Eternity’s End debut album featuring Linus Klausenitzer on bass

Eternity’s End was founded in 2014 by guitarist and songwriter Christian Muenzner.

Although it is a completely new band, each member has a long history in the metal scene, all having worked with successful, well respected bands and having appeared on a variety of world wide well acknowledged albums.

The band recorded their upcoming debut album “The Fire Within” in 2015, the album was mixed, mastered and co-produced by Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry) and is released in March 2016.

The music on “The Fire Within” is a blend of 90’s European power metal, 80’s neoclassical guitar&keyboard wizardry, powerful classic metal vocals, thrashy riffing, progressive elements and a combination of Dio-esque dark, fantasy inspired lyrics and philosophic themes. Speed, aggression, virtuoso musicianship, epic melodies and memorable songwriting with catchy hooks are the cornerstones of the band’s sound.

Crowdfunding campaign for new progressive power metal band

The band’s name is “Eternity’s End” put together by Christian Münzner:

“In 2014 I put together my own band “Eternity’s End”. It’s the realization of a dream I’ve had for many years to return to the style of music which has been my first love, that is neoclassical power metal with a progressive twist and a powerful, classic metal vocalist. Between fall 2013 and winter 2014/2015 I wrote 10 songs for our debut album “The Fire Within”, which we recorded between December 2014 and May 2015. The album was, like my last solo album, mixed, mastered and co-produced by Per Nilsson of Scar Symmetry.” – Christian Münzner

The line up of the band consists of:

  • Ian Parry – vocals
  • Christian Muenzner – guitars
  • Jimmy Pitts – keyboards
  • Linus Klausenitzer – bass
  • Hannes Grossmann – drums

Obscura To Release ‘Akróasis’ Album In February

Five years since the release of the universally-acclaimed Omnivium, Germany’s progressive metal masters OBSCURA are poised to return with their strongest and most dynamic release to date. The aptly-named Akroasis (Greek for “hearing” or “listening“) draws on all the various elements of OBSCURA‘s signature sound and combines those qualities into a mind-blowing and cohesive whole.

Produced by the band and V. Santura (Triptykon, Pestilence), Akroasis is eight songs diverse enough to serve as a near-comprehensive introduction to all of extreme metal. Packed to the gills with virtuosic musicianship, compelling themes, and airtight songwriting, OBSCURA will undoubtedly breathe new life into death metal, progressive metal and beyond.

Worldwide Release: 5th of February 2016

“With „Akroasis“, Obscura produced their grand opus featuring eight songs of fluent arrangements, odd time rhythm patterns and the most high end production in the history of this band. Without question “Akroasis” became the heaviest complex record we made up to this day. We cannot wait to perform live again and bring this challenging music on stage around the globe.”
Steffen Kummerer
